Build the whole-trip picture

Start with your room quote, the number of nights, and the number of rooms. Then add flights, airport transfers, dining, activities, and any visa or documentation costs. Keep a line for expenses that do not appear on the hotel’s headline rate. A beautiful stay is easier to enjoy when the total fits comfortably into your plans.

Separate included from additional

Ask whether breakfast, taxes, service charges, resort fees, local levies, and transfers are included. A safari lodge and a city hotel may quote rates on very different terms. Write down the cancellation conditions beside the total so you can compare both cost and flexibility.

Make currency visible

Record the billing currency and the date of your comparison. Ask your bank or card provider about exchange rates and conversion fees. Keep your planning currency consistent, and leave room for changes between making a reservation and settling the bill. Grandcorp’s on-page calculator is a simple arithmetic planner; it does not provide live exchange rates or hotel quotes.

Choose a comfortable margin

Add a buffer that reflects the uncertainty in your itinerary. Review the total before making a non-refundable commitment. If you are comparing credit or other finance products, read the official terms and consider professional guidance suited to your circumstances.
